We let a friend stay in our guest bedroom for a while and he just moved into his new apartment today. I helped a bit and got my daily workout! He lives on the 3rd floor so lots of stairs! :)
Gonna put in some elliptical time at home too just for good measure because it's been another not so healthy weekend. But dinner tonight was healthy AND awesome. Baked chicken with rosemary and garlic and roasted green beans!
It's almost monday and the process will start all over again! Arms workout tomorrow night :) Get in the exercise wherever you can! Moving makes a difference.

Fake Monday
Well, as per any holiday weekend... there was tons of family and too much food. I might have eaten more than I should have but I was careful some of the time. Then back to reality today. (or rather yesterday considering the time...)
I did however make my Sausage and Peppers for dinner which was a nice healthy alternative to the eating out we did all weekend.
Did my arms workout tonight. I've actually been stiff since last monday's arm workout and I'm not quite sure why. I've done lots of stretching and rotating... Let's hope this week the muscle recuperates a little better. : /
30 mins of arms mainly focusing on my triceps, back muscles, and chest muscles to help with push-ups down the line. Followed up with 15 mins of interval cardio on a very interesting elliptical machine. It allows you to do a stair master movement or a normal elliptical movement. Takes a bit of getting used to but I really like the muscle groups it works out. :)
Working out with friends and family is going well so far. I'm able to spew out my knowledge of working out and what helps or harms. It almost makes me sound smart! almost... :P It is nice to be able to share the information and help others get better at their healthy journeys too!

My official Take 2 Weigh in.
Well I was pleased to discover that my starting weight on my second attempt this year is not as bad as I thought it was. Looks like I've only gained 4 lbs of the 10 I lost.
So here's to losing those and even more!
Starting weight as of this morning: 188.8 lbs
Goal weight: Not officially set but somewhere in the 160's would be a nice change. (160 optimistically)

Just another Wed.
Well, after another 8 hours of training in absolutely unbearable temperatures, it was off to the gym at 1 a.m. for me! I had 2 of my workout buddies there with me to just encourage each other. :)
Did 25 mins of leg workouts and then 20 mins on the treadmill at a super high incline to work out those legs even more!
Just to come home to walk my little monsters! Walking TWO rambunctious pups is definitely a great way to cool off at the end of the night!
Feels great to be up and moving no matter what time of night it is! (but to be honest I can't wait to get off of the night shift at work to join the land of the living again.)
I forgot to do my Wed. weigh in, so I'll try and remember when I get up today to start up the weekly weigh-ins again. :)

Take two.
Yesterday was my first day at my new job and it was also my first real workout in a while. I'm super sore but it felt good to get back on the saddle.
I got a 24hr Fitness membership again so that I can go after my night shifts at work :)
The best part about it all is that we have a group of people that will be going. 2 of my cousins and my roommate will all be working out in the early mornings together! How's that for motivation??
Time to give this another shot in the hopes that school won't interfere again!
I'm starting close to my January weight unfortunately, but that's ok. I can do this!

Where does the time go?
Goodness I looked at my computer and realized that tomorrow is May! I knew it was approaching, but these last couple of weeks have just flown by due to school. I'm right in the middle of finals and I saw a post on FB by the Shrinking Jeans girls that gives us our May workout and I couldn't help but smile and be sad all at the same time.
I've fallen behind. I've eaten out a lot due to stress and no time to cook. I'm not working out every day because I'm trying to cram in study time, writing papers last minute, and trying to pass everything! So far so good on the school front, but I'm feelin' pretty guilty about falling off the wagon. BUT! the little smile I got from looking at the May challenge got me excited for finals to be over so I can start caring again!
(I know excuses excuses) But I have to say, I'd rather give up 2 weeks of exercise to make sure I pass my classes since I'm trying to graduate soon :)
So, Here's May's challenge and boy are they not kidding.... It's gonna be a doozie! My legs will not be my friend but my body will love me for it!
I'm hoping to be back around by friday or saturday this week! :) Then back to my rigorous working out!!
